1. Cement basket is used in stage cementation to prevent cement column downwards displacing.
2. Cement basket is usually installed on the casing over the weak formations to support long columns of cement and prevent the weak formations from the pressure of cement column.
3. Petals are arranged in an over-lapping pattern that allows for maximum flexibility and fluid passage from below.
